American billionaire Elon Musk announced that his new company, XAI, which specializes in artificial intelligence, launched - yesterday, Saturday - a new model of artificial intelligence to a “select group” of users.

In a series of tweets, Musk added posts showing users working on XAI's Grok artificial intelligence system.

He said that "Grok" will then be available to premium subscribers of "X", the microblogging platform formerly known as "Twitter." He continued: Grok was also designed to have a little humor in his responses, and he also loves sarcasm.

Musk had pledged to launch his own model of artificial intelligence that searches for "the truth and tries to understand the nature of the universe."
Most of the developers of the "Grok" model are from the former team of Google's company DeepMind, which Musk included to build a model competing with the Google and Microsoft models.

Last September, Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison, who described himself as a close friend of Musk, said that XAI had signed a contract to train its artificial intelligence model on the Oracle cloud.

This comes almost a year after the “GPT Chat” program developed by OpenAI became popular with users around the world, which led to a significant increase in the adoption of generative artificial intelligence technology.

Musk co-founded OpenAI in 2015, but resigned from the company's board of directors in 2018. He has expressed conflicting positions on artificial intelligence in the past.
In a meeting with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on Thursday, Musk considered artificial intelligence to be like a “magic genie” that grants all wishes, but he reminded that fairy tales rarely have happy endings.

During the meeting, Musk described artificial intelligence as the “most destructive force” ever, and told Sunak that there will come a time when there will be no need for a job because artificial intelligence will do all the jobs.
